In sharing the story and script with creative collaborators, it has become clear that this film and its themes resonate very strongly within the community. We have lost count of the amount of times an actor or crew member has told us that the script is personally triggering and that they can relate directly to the protagonist’s experience. This has left us with an even greater will to make this film in the way that we envision it, and also a sense of greater responsibility to tell this story in the right way.
